Competent to Council, Jay
E. Adams
...formerly the Director of Advanced Studies and Professor
of Practical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary, he is now
pastor of The Harrison Bridge Road A.R.P. Church in Simpsonville,
South Carolina. Dr. Adams received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University,
his B.D. from the Reformed Episcopal Theological Seminary, his S.T.M.
from Temple University and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
He was the Pastor & Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster
Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Dr. Adams has been the Dean
of the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation in Laverock,
Pennsylvania. He has written over fifty books, translated the New
Testament into English (The Christian Counselor's New Testament).
His many books deal with many aspects of pastoral ministry and counseling
as well as Bible study and practical Christian living.

This is a counselling course that will help the
Professional Techniques of Pastors, Teachers & Youth Leaders. This
course covers counselling subjects and problems for the beginner and
the accomplished student. The teaching will be exciting with class interaction.
Pulpit preaching is a blessing, but it may not always meet one's specific
needs.When we focus on the needs of the individual some basic problems
will be answered. Most times the counselee needs to ask questions to
get the right answers. Counselling is a two way street of asking and
answering, speaking and listening.
